“For as long as I can remember, I’ve always kept a journal of rhymes, thoughts and concepts. Some of my inspirations are Tupac, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., James Baldwin, Nora Neale Hurston, Maya Angelou & Shonda Rhimes. During the shutdown in 2020, I began to take the art of writing more serious and started to craft some of my thoughts and concepts into bodies of work.

As a proud Rhyme N Chatt member, I look forward to growing and developing as a writer and speaker as well as enhance my creativity. As a creative, one of my aspirations is to become a published writer.” – Mickey
